After-Care Program
Family Camp continues to work with parents and campers long after they have returned home.
Towards the end of each session , older campers and parents learn how to use Wellspring's year-round online after-care program. Located at www.myselfmonitoring.com, parents and campers are strongly encouraged to log on daily to continue:
They can also continue to communicate with other families to maintain support, stay motivated, and get assistance with solving problems.
Behavioral Coaches from Family Camp observe progress and continue to work with your family in private online discussions, as well as by phone. This sustained interaction reinforces your effort and focus, and assists with problem solving.
The after-care program continues until June 1, 2009. The cost of this program ($500 for weight-controlling campers, no cost for parents) is required as part of tuition.
However, for families who complete the after-care program with the level of consistency that clearly enhances long-term outcomes, according to several studies (i.e., continuing to self-monitor at least 75% of the time for the first 90 days after camp ends), Wellspring will refund the full cost of the after-care program.
