Great Investment for the Entire Family
Family Camp provides several financial advantages compared to other weight loss programs.
1. Potential Insurance Reimbursement
With the amount of therapeutic work at Family Camp for both campers and parents, Wellspring Family Camp offers the highest insurance reimbursement of any Wellspring Camp. Families typically receive statements indicating a total of $1,500 to $2,500 in billable sessions.
At the end of Camp, Wellspring produces and submits a statement to your health insurance. The statement won’t come from Wellspring. It will come from the therapist.
Wellspring uses a private billing agency to bill insurance companies directly for reimbursement. If preauthorization is required, Wellspring will determine this and, where possible, ensure that treatment is preauthorized.
Reimbursement will depend on a number of factors, including what your benefits are for behavioral counseling, and for treatment “out-of-network.” However, unless you are covered by an HMO, you should be successful in recouping a significant portion of the billed amount.
As health insurance policies are variable, Wellspring recommends that families do not base their decision to attend on the expectation that insurance will reimburse the full amount of billable sessions. Please call Admissions at 866.364.0808 for more information.
2. Loans to Spread the Cost over Months or Years
Wellspring Family Camp works closely with reputable loan companies that offer competitive rates and experience in helping families afford needed weight management programs such as Wellspring.

3. Refundable Fees
This is Wellspring’s way of saying thanks and helping ensure your child is successful years after camp ends.
Year Round Continuing Care Program: $600
This fee is refunded in full if the weight-controlling camper completes the program successfully. Successful completion is defined as meeting these two criteria:
- Camper completes 140 out of 180 days of self-monitoring (3 food items with fat and calories recorded per day).
- Parent (or camper) obtains a verified height and weight and provides this form back to Wellspring via mail, fax, or email.
ALL campers and parents are welcome to continue use of Continuing Care Program after this six month period. In fact, all guests have a full YEAR of Continuing Care available for their use. For more information about Wellspring’s unique Continuing Care Program click here.
4. Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account
If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), you should be able to use this account – and these pre-tax dollars – to pay for most of the cost of Wellspring (i.e., the entire cost, less the cost of food and lodging). Because each Wellspring program has slightly different food and lodging expenses, please contact Wellspring to receive an invoice that breaks out lodging and food from total tuition and fees.
